The cleaning removes plaque, tartar, and brightens your smile—while reducing the risk of developing gingivitis.

After your cleaning, one of our dentists will perform an oral exam. Our oral exams are meticulous and thorough ensuring that any defects, cavities, or other common dental issues are identified, and an appointment is made to solve them.

ORAL CANCER SCREENING

Oral cancer screening aims to discover mouth cancer or precancerous lesions that may progress to mouth cancer at an early stage, when the cancer or lesions are easiest to remove and most likely to be cured.

People at high risk of oral cancer may benefit from screening.  The following factors can raise the risk of mouth cancer:

  • Tobacco consumption in any form, including cigarettes, cigars, pipes, chewing tobacco, and snuff
  • Excessive alcohol consumption
  • Previous diagnosis of oral cancer
  • Significant sun exposure history, which raises the risk of lip cancer
