THE PROCESS

At South Main, our patients’ peace of mind is a top priority. That’s why we always like to go over our process in detail, before the procedure.

PLACING THE IMPLANT

Before the appointment itself, we will have had a consultation to measure the area, ensure that you are a suitable candidate for an implant, and take the time to answer any questions you may have. On the day of the placement, the implant area will be numbed, and the gum and jaw tissue surrounding it will be opened. From there, we place the implant into the predetermined location.

THE HEALING PROCESS

The healing process for a dental implant is called “Osseointegration”. Essentially, what we’re looking for in complete integration into the bone structure of your jaw. The body is an amazing thing, and this process only takes between 1-2 weeks. During this period, we’ll have you come in to see us to ensure the process is progressing as it should be.

BUILDING YOUR CEREC CROWN

Once your implant has fully osseointegrated, we begin the process of creating your new natural-looking CEREC crown. We do this by taking a precise scan of your mouth, to ensure a perfect fit.

FINAL INSTALLATION

The moment you’ve been waiting for! This final appointment is where we install the CEREC crown. This crown will look and feel exactly like a natural tooth, and will last a lifetime. Enjoy your new, confident smile!
